AEG AG6106R Rapido Li-Ion Handheld Cleaner : High Tech Dustpan and Brush replacement Very Handy

I’d wanted something like this for me van and car, i have a little white dog who goes with me everywhere in my van, which doesn’t take long to be covered in small white hairs. Charge time is the issue for a long clean, 11 minutes and it will need charging again, i’ve found if i use it every other day on my van it keeps the hairs away, but no good if its a long clean, if mothers dog comes with us then there’s no hope for getting it done in 11 minutes. My wife has claimed it for the house, ideal for those quick clean jobs, quick once over in the morning and the front room’s furniture is done, any spills are made light work of, she loves it for doing them quick jobs. I do really like the charging stand and that you can wall mount it, sits easily, charges while sat in the bracket, saves having to find somewhere that you can keep it near a plug, i’ve got this now wall mounted in our back door cupboard, great, ready to use when every required. I struggle to give it 5 stars, the charge time is the issue, seems a lot of money for 11 minutes. I like it, can’t say i’m loving it but good for a quick clean.

Excellent product most efficient.

This is a really nice portable vacuum cleaner. The extending nozzle is really quite hard to extend, and on my sample it’s over-lubricated, so i got slilicone lubricant on my hands trying to extend it. Hoever that niggle aside, this is a really nice vacuum. It'[s a lovely colour, and everything fits together reassuringly well. I really like the sprung design of the filter, which knocks dust out of the cloth. As a result, removal and cleaning was pretty easy. Charging is a ‘leave it connected’ business, and the charghe light winks on and off slowly when fully charged. The charge stand can be wall-mounted or floor standing, and the vacuum sits securekly on the stand. Here are the specifications for the AEG AG6106R Rapido Li-Ion Handheld Cleaner:

  • Lightweight handheld cordless rechargeable cleaner
  • Soft Surface wheels for manoeuvrability
  • Easy to clean filter
  • Integrated telescopic crevice nozzle
  • 11 minutes running time

I’ll be honest i have a touch of ocd and probably spend more time cleaning that i should. I have another handheld that quite frankly made everything much, much easier and still is almost a joy to use. I have since bought a cordless upright which has also been a complete revelation and made the onerous task that much easier. So, onto this handheld by a premium brand. First impressions out of the box are a reasonably well made handheld. It’s light to hold and i like the colour. The form factor takes me back to the old dust buster days. Charging was reasonable and the li-ion battery should ensure really good results. There’s a battery level indicator too and you should expect a full charge in four hours-ish.

Reviews from purchasers :

Aeg ag610r rapido li-ion rechargable hand held cordless cleaner. . Aeg agg6106r really comes in handy you can charge this up in 4 hours and then the machine can suck up dust in seconds. I use it around the bedroom after my child covers the floor with crisps. The power lasts for around 15 mins. There is a atachment with a dust brush on and this is a great tool. Used on my car looks like it has been valated. Gave top marks as it does the job easy to empty easy to hold and simple to use.

It’s ok – but not that much progress since the original dustbuster. I haven’t tried a hand held vac since i purchased the infamous 4. 8v b&d dustbuster back in the late 80’s, so was hoping for great things considering the elapsed time, but it would appear that not much has changed. The biggest let down is the battery life – you only get approximately 15 minutes running time from a fully charged battery which then takes four hours to recharge. The good thing is the lithium-ion batteries shouldn’t suffer from the memory effect and corresponding loss of capacity that the ni-cads in the dustbuster used to. Suction is pretty good – it’s powerful enough to suck up loose dog kibble from the kitchen floor. It has a detachable brush head that helps with more difficult tasks like pet hair. It has two speed settings (suction strength) but i can’t imagine ever wanting to reduce the suction strength myself. The built in rigid extendable crevice tool is a nice feature (can’t get lost). It’s reasonably light at just below 2kg.

It’s a lightweight handheld cleaner, suitable for sooking up the odd crumb here and there. It’s cordless, which you would expect for a handheld nowadays, and took about 5 hours to charge up first time out. As with everything nowadays, it’s a bit hit and miss in the initital setup as manufacturers continue their quest to employ slightly backward three year olds to draw diagrams instead of using actual words. But once you get there, it’s ok. The downside is, the charge ran out after ten minutes, and that wasn’t on the top setting. Which means i probably won’t use it again. It’s easier to brush the crumbs onto the floor and vacuum it up with my normal cordless vacuum. A better battery life is needed before it becomes a worthwhile buy.

Aeg ag6106r rapido li-ion handheld cleaner. The aeg ag6106r rapido li-ion handheld cleaner is a ‘dustbuster’ type of rechargeable vacuum cleaner (showing my age, there). It takes four hours to reach full charge, and will run for up to about quarter of an hour on this charge, so don’t buy this thinking that you can clean your whole house with it, it is purely for quick cleanup jobs. I do wonder why they never make these devices with the ability to run from the mains, it would open up their market if they did have the capability to be used for more than quarter of an hour in every four hoursthe cleaner is an attractive dark red shade and light (approximately 1kg) enough for most people to manage it, even those with dexterity problems. There are little wheels at the nozzle end which are helpful with moving it. The suction is not dyson-level but is good for a device of this type, and it will pick up chunkier items in addition to dust (we had a handheld in the past which flatly refused to pick up little stones, pieces of cat food etc, which was highly irritating). Emptying it is easy and can be done without getting a cloud of dust in your face (always a bonus). Generally a nice little cleaner.

Reasonable performance for a battery powered vacuum. . The idea of a battery powered vacuum has been around for a long time but generally speaking they’ve been pretty poor in terms of performance. 2v version and for small jobs around the kitchen e. Spilt sugar, rice, etc it is very good. It’s also fine for carpeted areas too but you wouldn’t want to vaccum a large area as the vacuum is relatively small and it would take for ever. One area it’s good for is the stairs, it’s also good for using on furniture. On opening the box you will find a vacuum, a base unit incorporating the charger and a power supply that plugs into it. There is a brush attachment stored in the base unit. There are some small wheels on the front of the unit which allow you move it easily over the area that you want to clean. Overall i like this vacuum but i think the 12v version would be even better.

High tech dustpan and brush replacement very handy. Rechargeable handheld vacuum cleaner model number ag6108c – dry use only model. The aeg handheld cleaner is a high performance cleaner that comes with a lithium rechargeable battery that gives longer running time for optimal cleaning. It was slightly larger than i expected and a little noisier in use. It comes with a visual display that speaks for itself in the internal and external workings such as the double filtration, the wall bracket for installation that is out of reach for children which also charges up the appliance. The aeg appliance bracket can be placed on a worktop or a wall for easy accessibility. It is cordless and the on/off switch is comfortably in place for easy use, however there is another switch adjacent to it that has a plus and minus symbol which on this model does not have a function that is noticeable and no information. Perhaps it alters the speed on other models. The appliance can be left in its holder all the time to recharge the lithium battery so it is instantly ready for use. The battery has a four hour use before recharging which is handy to know.

Great for clearing up behind the kids. . I’ve purchased a couple of cordless vacuum’s in the past and by comparison, this aeg rapido 7. 2v is a very capable little unit. If you’ve used a cordless vacuum in the past, you’ll know they’re generally a little on the noisy side and somewhat less powerful than their traditional cabled counterparts. This aeg rapido is no exception, but it’s still a great little cleaner to have to hand. It comes with its own charging station that can be wall mounted (which i have done) and it is more than capable of handling most little cleaning jobs i have three boys and i feel that a good percentage of my waking life is spent cleaning up after them. Bread crumbs around the toaster, runaway peas and sweetcorn under the dining table, and lumps of dry mud from the tread of their wellies are all sucked up confidently by the rapido. It’s also great for a quick clean of the stairs or a spruce up of the rug in the front room between cleans with the big cabled vacuum. Previously i had a 12v black and decker dust buster, and although advertised as only 7. 2v, this aeg rapido seems equally as powerful.

Charging is a “leave it connected” business, and the charghe light winks on and off slowly when fully charged. The charge stand can be wall-mounted or floor standing, and the vacuum sits securekly on the stand.

Nice little mini cyclone for the small jobs around the house and car. I was looking for something to do quick clean ups- tracked kitty litter, biscuit crumbs, pet hair off a chair cushion, that sort of thing. Given the stated power level, i was hopeful this would do the job and it certainly has. It’s been great for those little jobs and more- from sucking up shed dog hair off the uncarpeted stairs to vacuuming out the boot after a trip to the allotment. It takes 4 hours to go from a fully flat battery to a full charge, which gives you about 10 minutes of use. That’s plenty of time for the little jobs it’s designed for. The charger has a handy wall mount so it can be stored up out of the way and kept ready to go, which is very convenient. I don’t know that it takes that much strain off my arms to use, as this is pretty light, but it certainly does keep wood surfaces from getting scratched. Seeing as we own a 1960’s ercol oak coffee table, i’m very appreciative of that while getting up crumbs that make it past the plates and placemats.

I’ve been looking for a new dust buster for a while, as the owner of several pets, small children and a what seems like smaller version of kew gardens, there’s often muck and dirt that appears out of thin air. The unit feels quite well built and can take a bit of punishment. Included in the box you get a charging stand (that can be screwed to a wall) and a brush attachment for the nozzle. The nozzle itself extends out from the front, a nice little touch to stop it getting lost. Two wheels on the front allow an optimum angle when hoovering larger areas. The dust container is reasonably large, it will do a few jobs without issue. The dust filter is very easy to clean, bonus there. For more ground it dirt you will likely need to break out the big hoover.

Your reactions to this hand held will entirely depend on your exact expectations. 2 volt motor, if you are looking for a cleaner with serious suction for heavy soiling, then you will be disappointed. If, however, you want something which will take up the crumbs from your table or to do a quick clean of the car then you may well be very satisfied. When i received it, my first thought was to take it out to to the car and do a quick tidy up without the need to plug it into the cigar lighter socket. Of course, in order to be ready for action it was necessary to give it a 4 hour initial charge tot he lithium battery, not made any easier by the usual as clear as mud picture instructions which don’t properly explain how the front light tells you when it is charging and when the process has finished. That completed, i started vacuuming in the car which we always keep in decent nick so the most the rapido had to do was to pick up small pieces of gravel from the mats plus general dust-this it dealt with well. You have to get a move on as you only get around 10-11 minutes off a full charge which is really the achilles heel of the device. It was just enough for me to do the job, but i can well imagine for others this would be far too short a period of time.

It’s pretty ergonomic, the handle is comfortable to hold and the cleaner itself does a pretty good job. I think the little wheels are a good idea and they make the cleaner a bit easier to move across a surface when vacuuming even though it’s not particularly heavy.

Does last for 11 minutes but does take 4 hours to charge. Having no faith in vacuum cleaners including handheld ones. Good for any small jobs around the house. It has an extending nozzle to get under chairs and a weird brush attachment. Easy to empty without need to look at the pointless instruction manual. Good combined storage charging base. Nice wheels at the front so it glides along through floor.

Powerful hand held cleaner and much lighter than others i’ve. Powerful hand held cleaner and much lighter than others i’ve had. My only little niggle is the button to open the dust container is a little too far forward and needs pressing a little too hard, which makes it difficult to hold it by the handle and release the button with one hand. You really need to hold the cleaner with one hand and press the button with the other.

An honest little hand held that’s more of a help than an hindrance. Right, let me get you started on this little hand held by electrolux who own aeg and make everything in china. Yes you’ll constantly be told aeg is german and thus the automatic assumption will be that everything that is labelled with an aeg badge is “made in germany. ” well it isn’t and for the price this is never going to be as good as a dyson cordless hand held on design, but the aeg isn’t that far and away from the 15 to 20 minute run time that dyson’s hand held cordless vacs currently give. For starters this conventional hand held bagless vacuum doesn’t feature a rolling powered brush, it is suction all the way and a bit like the dust busters from the 1980s. The new lithium battery in this hand held vacuum by aeg is better than what i had before from hoover europe in terms of charging and suction power. 4 hours charge time versus double that for the previous hoover when 10 to 15 minutes run time with this aeg really isn’t that bad if you are prepared to actually realise what this little hand held aeg vacuum can do. It comes with a snap on dust brush that fits inside the built in pull out crevice tool at the front. I like this and i like the option of just having the pull out crevice whenever i require it. This hand held will suck up dry dirt only, like a standard cordless ‘dust buster’ from the well known american brand who were first to the market with hand held cordless vacs.
