Dyson DC34 Multi Floor Handheld Vacuum, The Problems persist
Straight out of the box this looks great. Sleek, lighter than the early models & easy to hold. Charging is via a ‘plug-in’ charger that has a green light which goes out once this is done. The dyson’s used to come with a cradle that you could screw into the wall & slip the vacuum into but these cost extra now. The suction is a big improvement on the early designs too as is the staying power which, despite what the ‘blurb’ may say, is about 7 minutes on ordinary mode and 4 minutes or so on extra. This may not seem like long but this is for small jobs not vacuuming the house. So for doing the car or a long set of stairs this is spot on. The fact it can be almost completely taken apart means even fine dust that makes a complete mess can be vacuumed. Just remember to clean the filtersproblems?.
Versatile and very good suction. Bought for mother for birthday as i have one and she has always wanted one.

Good enough, a handy addition. We have recently moved into a three story house and the worst part about vacuuming is doing the stairs, with so many stairs i knew a hand held vacuum would be the solution. I choose dyson because we have had an upright dyson for about 10 years now and the suction is still really good (if you keep up to cleaning the filters). Upon receiving this dc34 i found it well packaged with a modest number of accessories, the unit itself is very lightweight, almost like a child’s toy. The suction power is nowhere near that of my upright mains powered dyson however it does do the job required well and it is quick and easy to empty. I particularly like the main attachment that offers duel function (much better than having two separate attachments). Not only is it perfect for the stairs but i’ve also found it ideal for light fittings, cob webbed room corners and crumbs in the kitchen. The battery soon runs out if you get carried away. Since buying the dc34 i quickly realised that i would need a wall mounting bracket that would allow me to store it neatly and also charge at the same time. This is the one that i purchased http://www.
Dyson DC34 Multi Floor Handheld Vacuum with Longer Run Time : I got this a week or so ago because i got fed up with my upright dyson attachments being awkward. I have not been disappointed – it’s great. I have just done all the edges upstairs in a three-bed terrace, inc a quick once over of the stairs (having used all of the attachments on them the first day i got it) and some of the downstairs edges and awkward corners and it still hasn’t run out of charge. While i can see some people wouldn’t like the trigger, it does mean the limited power is being directed where it’s needed and therefore does last longer in terms of area covered. I think the only annoyance i’ve found is that the attachments don’t attach to the machine. But not too much of a problem. It’s a great little machine for all the little awkward jobs inc stairs.
