Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum, This vacuum cleaner changed our life

The day before i first used it i’d vacuumed with a henry type vacuum, thought my carpet was clean. I gave it a quick going over with the dyson and in less than two minutes had the equivalent of a full head of pet hair visible in the dust chamber. A pleasure to use and on opening it looked just like scrunched up wig, all the hair aligned. The carpet was visibly lighter and looked brand new. There is enough energy in the batteries to do the whole house (3 bedroom bungalow) with about 50% carpet/ 50% laminate floor coverings. With the the charger attached to the wall bracket under the stairs it’s quick and easy to put away with the fully automatic charging system showing state of charge and shutting down when full. Should ensure long battery life.

I would never have believed that i would love the vaccine cleaner- but i do.

Love this vacuum cleaner, it’s reasonably light, (for a male user) if used on lower setting it has good suction for general use, you may have to empty regularly as container is small,should you require replacement tools, you will need the (quick release handheld tool kit mo) (dyson site) as the ones promoted by amazon dont fitbut i am very impressed by the vacs performance, and ease of use. A bit on the expensive side, but it still shows, you get what you pay for, and this vac is worth itas i have only used this vac on one occasion, time will tell on reliability and wear and tear.

Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum : Best vacuum cleaner on the market. Best vacuum cleaner i have ever used. Very well built and superbly designed. The attachments fit beautifully and all take apart for effective cleaning, the filters just pull out for washing. The emptying mechanism is superb – it ensures that nothing is left in the collection cylinder and does not scatter the contents so i can empty it into a small bin without making any mess on the floor. I now use this for the whole house on a single charge.

    Can you believe dyson refuse to provide any wall mounted fittings or advise which to use?. This is a problem because the holes for wall mounting are tapered. Unable to mount to the wall at present. The unit is a nicer sound on lower power than other hand held units, but on maximum it’s as noisy as always.

    I confess i did not buy this from amazon as i found a better deal elsewhere on the internet, but because i purchase so much stuff from amazon, i felt i should leave a review. I originally purchased a bosch athlet, but it was rubbish and i eventually managed to get a full refund. I love my dyson, i am a small female senior citizen and i find it really easy to use. It very easy to switch the different heads and child’s play to empty it. I have a 4 bedroom house and manage to whizz around the whole house on one charge. Fair enough this does not include cleaning skirtings etc, but it does make vacuuming a pleasure. The soft head for hard floors is very good for wood and laminate and the powered brush for carpets. It picks up my daughter’s long hair and grit brought in from outside. It is also good for the car.

      This is a brilliant vacuum, although expensive. I should have done more research as, after buying, i found i could have saved £50 if i had purchased through other dealers.

      Better & more flexible than a corded machine; brilliant. Have been considering a cordless vacuum cleaner for some time but having looked at those available and considered reviews, i soon realised that some needed a floor model and hand-held separate. The dyson v8, although more expensive, seemed to fit all our requirements in one machine and wow am i pleased we bought this last week, with next day delivery included in the price. The cordless facility is far better than i imagined, giving unlimited freedom of use. All the accessories you need are included and vacuuming carpets, stairs, hard floors etc is so easy. Normal suction is fine, but wow, when you switch to maximum; i thought the carpet was going to be sucked in. Well done dyson from a very happy 71 year old. Made vacuuming so easy and a pleasure not be messing with a heavy machine and cord/plug. I could even choose the colour.

      Great but awkward for small hands. . I think it’s a brilliant cleaner but my wife and one of her female friends complain it appears to be designed for bigger hands and is awkward to handle.

      Very expensive vacuum which made me hesitate in buying the dyson and perhaps setting a very high value for money bar. My experience is that this is an excellent vacuum, picking up more dirt then our henry and kirby cleaners, indeed i was quite shocked how much dust is picked up from what i thought was a clean floor.

      This vacuum cleaner changed our life. As the title indicates, this vacuum cleaner is a life changer. To be fair, i’m certain most cordless vacuum cleaners are changing it in a way, but the dyson v8 absolute does it while not sacrificing anything in vacuum strength, while adding so much more. This doesn’t only come with a state of the art sucking ability, but also with stunningly good accessories. There ain’t a surface this vacuum cannot efficiently clean. The vacuum comes with 2 speed mode, one “normal” which will do the job pretty much everywhere, especially with the tools included, and a turbo mode. The turbo mode is advertised for only 7 minutes with some of the accessories, but to be honest, this is pessimistic compared to the reality. And that’s something great with this vacuum cleaner, it doesn’t advertise you for 20 minutes to do only 15, it’s more of the opposite. You won’t find any better, and all the professional reviews agree. Whether this is good enough for the price, i’d say yes, definitely.
