Dyson V8 Animal Cordless Vacuum Cleaner : Best thing ever!

Recommended by you i purchased a full set of additionl. Recommended by you i purchased a full set of additionl tools which don’t fit the v8 they need an adaptor the one supplied with the tools does not work with the v8 machine. Pllease advise if you can supply the correct adaptor.

I bought one of these for myself last year & it was the best purchase of the year. I bought this one as a house warming gift for my daughter as she had looked at mine with envious eyes. She very impressed & can do a four bedroom house on one charge.

My old upright animal dyson is huge. My old upright animal dyson is huge, heavy and cumbersome. Hoovering the stairs was a monumental task and it only got done when the carpet was in a real state. This new dyson is just great, light, cordless and easy to use and charge. Battery on normal mode lasts easily long enough to do a whole 3 bed house.

Very good cordless vacuum, even more optimised design. Great on stairs, good on floors, better battery life. This is similar to the v6, but they’ve designed a new bin assembly which makes it easier to get the bundles of fluff-dirt out. With the v6 i found i still had to stick my fingers in the bin sometimes to pull out the fluff that gets stuck around the centre mesh unit. On this v8 the mesh is a metal gauze with very small holes, so not so much fluff gets stuck on it, and also to open the bin, you pull the whole unit up which drags fluff off it and allows more dirt to fall out. It makes emptying a little easier and reduces the chance of having to get your hands dirty to empty the bin; which i suppose makes the whole cleaning experience more convenient. Worth noting though, the red handle on top that opens the bin to empty needs to be pulled up firmly. I’ve seen these get stuck before where not another force had been used; it got half-way up then the person started yanking it around and tried to go down again, and it jammed. Most things on a dyson just require simple-to-use catches to be pressed and tubes to be pulled out fairly simply. This v8 bin opening design is reliable i’ve found, once you get used to pulling it out straight and with firm force.

Very good product but very expensive.

      I absolutely love this cleaner. Bought one for my elderly mother in law (who loves it too) and liked it so much i bought one for myself. It’s so versatile & manoeuvrable – it’s a pleasure to do the vacuuming nowit’s very lightweight and can get into all those nooks and crannies and under furniture easily. The battery life is very good – i can vacuum the whole house on ‘min’ power (which is more than adequate) but have the power boost if i need it for heavy traffic areas. The battery does drain quickly if you have it on max power as my mother in law found out when she left it on ‘max’ by accident.

    A heavy upright dyson so this is so much better for carrying. I used to have a heavy upright dyson so this is so much better for carrying. Great for deep and general clean. I have a large three bedroom house and use the dyson nearly every day for 20 minutes so the charge is perfect. (i do not store it on display as the adverts show no more than i would put the furniture polish on show so i take the main stem off and put the motor on charge in a cupboard) all in all it is a good cleaner.
