Ryobi CHV182M ONE : it has good power. and for this type of vac i
Excellent little vac, prompt delivery also.
This woz a great price & postage woz good to.
I have a comprehensive range of ryobi 18v workshop and garden tools and have added this small vacuum to the set. I use it to clean up the small debris left on my work bench, it’s lightweight and handy with a reasonable capacity and more than adequate for the use i put it too. I tried using it on the car seats to remove dog hairs but even my 2500 watt vacuum struggles with them and this isn’t designed for that purpose. The unit is easy to empty with the press of a button and the filter is easy to clean, it’s good value and well made. Here are the specifications for the Ryobi CHV182M ONE:
- Cleans up dry spills
- Quick-change replacement filter
- Bare Unit (batteries sold separately, compatible with all Ryobi one batteries)
- Maximum AirFlow: 0.85 m3/minute
- Collection capacity: 173 ml
Literally, because it’s a vacuum cleaner geddit?. Anyway it’s ok but as it’s part of the ryobi one series (and therefore intended for a workshop) it would benefit from having some kind of wall mounted stand. Nevertheless it does vacuum up the dust but is not noticeably better than any of the other hand held vacuums i have owned. The filter is easily removable but the brush on the extension nozzle is poor. I’ve rated it a 3 and i reckon that’s about right.
Please note that whatever it says on here, it is not wet and dry it is just for dry. It’s about right for the price. From this company i was expecting something with a bit more oomph but it does the job reasonably well. Without the attachment on the end it doesn’t really get into crevices or even up to edges so it’s only of use on the middle of the carpet etc. With the attachment it’s better but the suction seems less and i’m not sure how long the attachment is going to last. Also the attachment is very narrow and a better thought out and wider attachment would be a good idea (as well as the crevice tool). 3 battery on it is quite heavy and is quite a large unit for the purpose. The battery lasted about 15 minutes from full to dead.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Ryobi One Vac is OK
- For £20 its fine
- Great for the price
Another great ryobi product to add to my collection, very powerful little hand vac, i would suggest getting the smaller battery pack as i’m using the bag one i have and makes it quite heavy.
Ok, the description now clearly states that it needs a battery and charger. The reason why it works so well is because of the high power separately supplied battery. This is why it has a powerful albeit loud motor and has a good suction ( for a portable unit ). If you already have ryobi 18v tools and batteries it is bargain, if not look at the range and consider whether you can buy this as an add on to an 18v drill kit. It won’t replace a mains unit but for quick clean ups and the car it’s brilliant. Someone mentioned spares for it, but i don’t think this is an issue because it is only just over £20, and the first plastic gauze is washable and the second you brush clean.
