Ryobi CHV182M ONE : it has good power. and for this type of vac i

Excellent little vac, prompt delivery also.

This woz a great price & postage woz good to.

I have a comprehensive range of ryobi 18v workshop and garden tools and have added this small vacuum to the set. I use it to clean up the small debris left on my work bench, it’s lightweight and handy with a reasonable capacity and more than adequate for the use i put it too. I tried using it on the car seats to remove dog hairs but even my 2500 watt vacuum struggles with them and this isn’t designed for that purpose. The unit is easy to empty with the press of a button and the filter is easy to clean, it’s good value and well made. Here are the specifications for the Ryobi CHV182M ONE:

  • Cleans up dry spills
  • Quick-change replacement filter
  • Bare Unit (batteries sold separately, compatible with all Ryobi one batteries)
  • Maximum AirFlow: 0.85 m3/minute
  • Collection capacity: 173 ml

Literally, because it’s a vacuum cleaner geddit?. Anyway it’s ok but as it’s part of the ryobi one series (and therefore intended for a workshop) it would benefit from having some kind of wall mounted stand. Nevertheless it does vacuum up the dust but is not noticeably better than any of the other hand held vacuums i have owned. The filter is easily removable but the brush on the extension nozzle is poor. I’ve rated it a 3 and i reckon that’s about right.

Please note that whatever it says on here, it is not wet and dry it is just for dry. It’s about right for the price. From this company i was expecting something with a bit more oomph but it does the job reasonably well. Without the attachment on the end it doesn’t really get into crevices or even up to edges so it’s only of use on the middle of the carpet etc. With the attachment it’s better but the suction seems less and i’m not sure how long the attachment is going to last. Also the attachment is very narrow and a better thought out and wider attachment would be a good idea (as well as the crevice tool). 3 battery on it is quite heavy and is quite a large unit for the purpose. The battery lasted about 15 minutes from full to dead.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Ryobi One Vac is OK
  • For £20 its fine
  • Great for the price

Another great ryobi product to add to my collection, very powerful little hand vac, i would suggest getting the smaller battery pack as i’m using the bag one i have and makes it quite heavy.

Ok, the description now clearly states that it needs a battery and charger. The reason why it works so well is because of the high power separately supplied battery. This is why it has a powerful albeit loud motor and has a good suction ( for a portable unit ). If you already have ryobi 18v tools and batteries it is bargain, if not look at the range and consider whether you can buy this as an add on to an 18v drill kit. It won’t replace a mains unit but for quick clean ups and the car it’s brilliant. Someone mentioned spares for it, but i don’t think this is an issue because it is only just over £20, and the first plastic gauze is washable and the second you brush clean.

Of the ryobi one battery system this seems a useful vac as we have the batteries/charger already. As a fan of the ryobi one battery system this seems a useful vac as we have the batteries/charger already. Product is well built but vac is not immensely strong suction but useful for the car and odd jobs around the home.

Please remember this is the body only, no battery or charger included. So if you have other ryobi one+ tools this vacuum for £22 is a good addition to your tool range. It is fairly noisy for its size but weight wise is ok with a 2. 5 amp battery and battery charge lasts a long time. Had no problem doing a staircase and two cars while only using two blobs of battery life. It is good for stairs, quick spill clean ups, cars, sawdust and outdoor stuff. We had sand in the car mats from the beach, it didnt get that all up but was noticibley better. I would think it will also struggle with pet hair and fine things like that. The brush nozzle is ok for tops of skirting boards etc, but i found it keeps pushing itself back into the nozzle, might just be me being heavy handed.

Handy, but underpowered and its design sometimes blows stuff away before you can get the nozzle to it.

Quite noisy but also quite effective (i think that the suction could be better) and very very handy. Go anywhere just plug the battery in switch it on and vacuum – no cord or mains electricity plugs to think about. It is a shame that there are no attachments for example a dust brush or other extensions especially for cleaning the car.

I was a little doubtful about this machine after reading some other reviews. It has now arrived, and i am pleasantly surprised. There is a good suction, and it will pick up all but the heaviest muck. I found that with the brush head attached it will pick up dog hair ” slowly, with the rubber in the brush head lifting the hair” it is heavy on battery life, but good for at least 20 minutes with a 4ah battery. I have lots of ryobi one+ tools so batteries and chargers not a problem. Weight in use is fine, no worse than holding an upright. Ideal for edges, corners, stairs etc. Overall i would recommend this little machine.

This is a nice vacuum, like all ryobi tools this is made very well. The obvious flaw is the choice of filtration which isn’t good for fine dust. Otherwise, it’s very good for the price.

Excellent – but could be expensive if you need a battery & charger. . The ryobi chv182m one+ cordless hand vac is an excellent little hand held vacuum. The only downside would be that if you haven’t already got a battery and charger, it would be quite expensive. However, if you already have these available with another ryobi one+ tool, then it’s well worth getting.

Ryobi cordless hand vac arrived well packaged and in a timely manner. Product exactly as described. As this uses the same batteries as my other ryobi tools it is very handy round the work shop and for cleaning the inside of my van. Suction about the same as other cordless vacs i have used and it is very easy to take apart and empty.

Very happy with this as an addition to my set of ryobi tools lasts about 7 to 12 mins on a 1. 3 ah battery which is long enough to quickly do the car seats. This is my first hand vaccume so not sure how it compares to the alternatives available but as i just use the same batteries as the drill and the other 12 ryobi tools i have. However i do have 4 batteries so am never out of juice. Suction levels are not amazing hence the 4 stars as i have used a dyson v6 lol but for the price still an amazing tool.
