Vax H86S6B Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, Great Price and Great Product!

Got to be a ‘sucker’ for this product. Well designed and true to the stated battery life per charge. A wee bit on the ‘noisy’ side as opposed to our mains vacuum cleaner of same brand.

I find vax to be one of the best vacuum brands but this product is not quite 5/5 stars due to its very small nozzle, and suction is still quite poor, even for a handheld vacuum. I had another vax handheld previously which was better in suction and design.

Good suction,using for car,only drawback is 8 hour charging inbetween useing.

Its a bit gutless for my liking, but i. Its a bit gutless for my liking, but i guess my expectations were high, i dont know how others rate. Got this on offer – dont know if i’d part with the cash on full price.

Vax H86S6B Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, 6 V, 12 kg, 1200 W : Not powerful enough for what i needed. . I thought it was a good price for the product and bought it to use to clean my car out. Whilst this vax may be good enough in some environments, it is useless for cleaning out cars. It is simply not powerful enough.

    Nicely made and very powerful – a good buy. Unexpectedly powerful vacuum (i suspect the reviewers who say it’s not powerful just hadn’t charged it first). Feels and looks well made and sturdy – and sounds like a small jet enginewe’ve had several ‘bargain’ mini cleaners from places like aldi and lidl, but they’ve never worked well or lasted very long, so we thought we’d spend a bit of money this time and see if we get something better. So far, so good, the only question is how long it lasts – if it doesn’t last long, i shall return and remove stars. The only ‘drawback’ is the lack of a charging station. But i am not sure if this is a drawback really and may even be an advantage. A charging station is good, as it keeps everything tidy and gives you somewhere to put the cleaner, but my experience with them has been mixed. For a start, you have to fix them up somewhere, which isn’t always that easy, and often they don’t charge very well because the ‘docking/charging’ bit is badly designed/made. Without a docking station, the vacuum can be stored and charged wherever is convenient, so i think i actually prefer this arrangement (but it does mean that the vacuum isn’t automatically recharged and you have to remember to do it – althought this hasn’t been a problem so far).

    Just the job for spot cleaning. . This was bought as a gift, so no hands-on experience myself, but it seems to be a good cleaner with an easy to clean filter. Suction adequate for quick cleanup jobs. Be aware that it is not wall mountable (as subsequently confirmed by the seller) so needs to be stored horizontally on a surface. One review suggested that it could go on a wall, but there seems to be nothing in the box to do this with. No real problem, although it’s a pity the manufacturer didn’t think to provide a cradle. Marked down to 4 stars because of that.

    Its handy for stairs and chair covers but obviously not as good as a hoover. Will pick up things and needs to be emptied regularly as bag is small. Its handy for stairs and chair covers but obviously not as good as a hoover.
